In this session, both Harmen van Sprang (initiator of Amsterdam Sharing City) and Nils Roemen (initiator of Nijmegen Sharing City) will share with you their insights and experience on what it might take to make a sharing or collaborative city.
Although Nils is a grassroots guy and Harmen more of a grasstops guy, they both see their cities as a playground. A place where on the one hand you have to work with all sorts of stakeholders and on the other hand you just want to start building that sharing society with your own hands. Sometimes literally, for example by trying to build a house on sharing principles or creating a co-working space with no money involved.
There are two sides to the story of designing a sharing city and both are valuable. What can Nils and Harmen learn from each other in their approaches in their own cities? What can you learn from their experience and experiments? And even more important: what common insights can we gather and share with other cities all over the world?
This session is not only about sharing cities. This session is also about collaborating and creating succesful projects, big or small. A real life think tank with a whole lot of doing.
